Back to health

Regular dental health examinations and hygiene help to prevent dental disease, but should problems arise, we will take great care of you. Following an examination, our clinicians will diagnose the problem and provide you with a treatment plan with all the options available to get you back to health.

Bridging gaps between teeth

If an extracted tooth has left you with an unsightly gap, there are solutions. Gaps can leave you feeling self-conscious and can cause problems too, such as putting more pressure on your surrounding teeth or causing them to spread into the gap and changing your bite. Dental bridges work by filling these gaps, preventing movement of nearby teeth and improving your ability to chew.

Crowns overcome fractures, cracked and worn teeth

Dental crowns are used to strengthen fractured, cracked, worn and damaged teeth. Crowns are protective caps that completely cover your damaged tooth, which other than protecting it, can help to restore its shape, size, strength and improve its appearance. Trust Winterton Dental to get your dental health back to where it needs to be.

Wear your smile with pride!

A dental inlay is a pre-moulded filling that is fitted on to your affected tooth to treat minor decay, fractures or damage. Porcelain or composite resin materials are used to create the inlay and these can be made to match the colour of your teeth so they are almost invisible. They also tend to be more durable than regular fillings.

Should the damage to your tooth be more significant that it affects the biting surface of the tooth then we might suggest the need for an onlay instead. Made in a similar way to inlays and from similar materials, they simply cover more of your tooth than an inlay.

Both inlays and onlays are long term, cosmetic solutions that restore the function of your teeth.

Relieve painful toothache

Root canal treatment is used to treat a badly infected tooth. If left untreated these infections can cause you to experience toothache and painful abscesses, and in some cases, can even result in you losing the tooth altogether. Root canal treatment involves removing the infection from your tooth canal inside the tooth before filling it to prevent further infection. At Winterton Dental our priority is to save your natural teeth and we are adept at undertaking root canal treatment in a pain free, comfortable way.

Treating minor tooth decay

Fillings are a common procedure used to repair cavities in your teeth caused by minor decay or injury. Our gentle dentists will begin by removing the decayed part of the tooth before filling it with a chosen material such as composite resin or porcelain. Fillings restore the tooth back to its normal function and prevent further decay.
